PDF pattern for raw edge applique using free motion embroidery.
This is the 18th of a series patterns to make the ‘Life in the Town’ quilt. The block forms the left border has one of the chamber maids shaking out a rug outside the bedroom window and Pip the newspaper boy leaning against a lamp post outside the house.
This border measures 52 by 6” finished size. The full quilt will be 48 by 52” and full of life in the town, both above and below stairs, and contain around 15 blocks with four border panels.


This pattern contains the templates along with plenty of colour photographs through each step.

I don't teach you how to do free motion embroidery in this pattern, other than my own hints and tips, neither do I tell you how to set your machine up for free motion embroidery but I do give you all the stages for you to make your own embroidery.
