This pattern is for the central bluetit and leaves, , which forms pattern 6 of the Autumn Forest quilt. The block measures 10 by 10". The block assumes that you have already made block 3 (fox block) as this block spills a little into the block.
The quilt itself is in my usual style, so it is a patchwork background with raw edge applique sewn with free-motion embroidery. You don't need a fancy machine to stitch it but your machine needs to be able to do free-motion embroidery. The pattern contains basic instructions for the patchwork. I won't go into a lot of detail on patchwork as I am assuming that you know the basics but other than the odd half-square triangle, it is all pretty simple. I use raw edge techniques and the patterns are using those instructions, but you could also use needle turn techniques, but no instructions will be given. For some of the pieces, you would need additional fabric to use needle-turn. I do give a little extra, but it might be tight on some of the smaller pieces and you would need to purchase additional fabric.
Hopefully that all makes sense, but please don't hesitate to ask if anything is unclear.
