Sorry, this item has sold.

This year's new block of the month pattern starting the end of May 2019 (£29 per month including postage to the UK, £3.50 overseas)

A soft palette of neutrals and cool navy and duck egg bluecomplete with woodland animals dressed in a rainbow palette of Victorian clothing.

This quilt measures 40 by 40" and would be ideal on the wall or to cuddle up under.

This is my third block of the month and will run for just six months. (May through to October) to enable the diligent ones of you could finish and quilt it in time for Christmas 2019. For the rest of you, there is always 2020! haha. They will be shipped at approximately the end of each month. If you are overseas please allow an extra week or so for shipping.

This listing is for the full kit, including the background fabric, the applique fabric, the full printed pattern and templates, freezer paper and stabiliser. You will need to use your own threads and you will need the means to sew it. (Either by machine or by hand (which will take much longer!) I will be doing a listing for the threads I have used if you want to purchase them to go along side the kit.

I also have a listing for just the pattern deposit. I will do a PDF listing but you don't need to put a deposit on for those, I will just list them as I am ready.

The quilt itself is in my usual style, so it is a patchwork background with raw edge applique sewn with free motion embroidery. You don't need a fancy machine to sew it but your machine needs to be able to do free motion embroidery. The pattern contains basic instructions for the patchwork. It is a storm at sea pattern and I will do a short pattern containing more detail than I normally do on the patchwork to show the basic block. The remaining patterns will pay more attention to which fabrics go where.

The fabrics are supplied as a rectangle/square big enough for the shape you need. No laser cutting so you are relying on freezer paper/pencil and scissors to cut the shapes out yourself. I like this step as it is quite therapeutic. I label all the fabrics with little stickers which tell you what they are to be used for so it makes it a little easier to know which bit goes where. I use raw edge techniques and the patterns are using those instructions, but I will put in sufficient fabric that you could also use needle turn techniques, but no instructions will be given. Some of the pieces are VERY small and needleturn will be a challenge. Just so you are warned. An alternative for hand sewing would be to use a little fusible or glue and replicate the machine lines by hand stitching, a stem stitch for preference.

I am based in the UK and I am happy to ship worldwide. If you are outside the UK then there will be an additional £3.50 postage charge for either the patterns/kits each month as that is how much extra it costs me.

As I am a one woman band, I am limiting the number of places I am offering. When these sell out that will be it until next year when I will do a second run if enough people are interested. Hopefully I can manage enough to include everyone but I need to be realistic of how much I can actually do!

The prices for the full kits will be £29 plus postage outside the UK if necessary (£3.50 each month) for a total of six months. I am asking for a £10 deposit which I will refund out of the final (sixth) kit. This will enable me to purchase all the paper/stabilizer/fabrics etc before hand so I don't run out, and I can get started on kit cutting etc. If you need to cancel the subscription at any point, please do just message me. I totally understand that things come up and I would never want any one to get into trouble financially by trying to continue a kit that isn't appropriate for them at the time. :)

The first kit will be sent out at the end of May. When you pay the deposit, I will add you to my list and each month I will send you a paypal invoice for the monthly amount. When you pay, I will ship out each month. If you want the invoice to be sent to a different email than is associated with your Etsy account, just let me know so I can amend my files. I won't send you anything physical when you purchase this desposit listing but I'll message you an acknowledgement.

Right I think is everything! I will keep this listing up until the end of February, or until all the listings have been purchased, which ever comes sooner.

Thank you, and any questions please do ask.

:)
Andrea
