Printed pattern for raw edge applique using free motion embroidery.
This is the first block of a series of 34 winter hedgerow themed panels :) This panel measures as 10 by 14". There full quilt measures 28 by 20". The quilt background is sewn with a two inch graduated border, going from dark blue/grey to off white, with lots of frosty greys and teals. This block has a wintery fox, and a robin on a pine branch.
This pattern contains the templates along with plenty of colour photographs through each step.
I don't teach you how to do free motion embroidery in this pattern, other than my own hints and tips, neither do I tell you how to set your machine up for free motion embroidery but I do give you all the stages for you to make your own embroidery.

Great pattern! I haven't started it yet, but was able to enlarge it to a 16x20 pattern (with permission) so that I could make it into a larger quilt for a wedding gift. I look forward to making it and have purchased hand-dyed fabric for the fox, but still plan to add some highlights/depth using color pencils and a medium.
